Today I'm going to talk about local moves. Say within 30 miles. The local moves are easier than say interstate moves.
First you want to have the moving company come out and view your current home. Let them give you an estimate in home.
Give them as must information on the new location. Say distance from your current home. Can a moving truck get in the driveway. Are there steps to the front door. Single level. Or is it a high rise, and in a busy city.
Parking maybe a problem. Or you have to reserve the elevator. All of this items can take more time to complete a local move.
Also, ask if they will provide you with free used boxes....this will save you money.
